Terms of Service
Version v2026-10-20 · Effective October 20, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and RDL Labs ("RDL", "we", "us"), the operator of RDLLabs.net, based in Mesquite, Texas, and founded by Joshua P. Lee. By creating an account, signing in, or using RDLLabs.net and its apps (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Questions about these Terms: contact us through the Support page at /support.
1. What RDL is
RDL is a neutral network that connects dental offices, dental labs, patients, temporary dental workers ("temps"), and delivery drivers. RDL provides software tools that help them find each other, share case information, track cases, arrange deliveries, and send and pay invoices.
RDL is a bridge between independent parties. RDL is not a party to the work, sale, shift, or service agreed between them unless these Terms say otherwise.
2. RDL is not a dental provider
RDL is not a dentist, dental practice, or dental laboratory, and RDL does not practice dentistry. RDL does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, design, or manufacture anything. Nothing on the Service is dental or medical advice.
3. Offices and labs are independent
Dental offices and dental labs on RDL are independent businesses. Each is solely responsible for:
- its own work, products, quality, and turnaround;
- its own licenses, registrations, and compliance with the laws and professional rules that apply to it;
- prescriptions, work orders, treatment decisions, and patient care;
- its own staff, temps, and contractors, and what they do on the Service.
RDL does not check, guarantee, or supervise the work of any office, lab, temp, or driver.
4. Open network and pricing
RDL is an open network. Any qualifying office or lab may join, and offices may choose any lab. Labs set their own prices and decide who they share their price list with. RDL does not set, approve, or guarantee prices.
5. Payments
Invoice payments on RDL are processed by Stripe through Stripe Connect. When an office pays a lab through RDL:
- the lab is the merchant and the seller of its products and services;
- the office pays the invoice amount shown, and RDL adds no surcharge or extra fee to the office;
- the lab pays Stripe's processing fee;
- the lab pays RDL's network fee as disclosed to the lab in its payment settings before it accepts payments.
Labs must accept Stripe's terms to receive payments. RDL does not hold funds and is not a bank or money transmitter. Payment details are handled by Stripe; RDL does not store full card or bank numbers.
6. Refunds and disputes
Refunds, remakes, credits, and disputes about work or invoices are between the office and the lab. Labs set their own refund and remake policies. RDL may provide tools to help (for example, case history and messages), but RDL is not responsible for resolving or paying any refund or dispute. Card chargebacks are handled under Stripe's rules and are the lab's responsibility as merchant.
7. Temps and shifts
Temp shifts, jobs, and hiring found on RDL are agreements between the worker and the office or lab. RDL is not the employer, staffing agency, or joint employer of any worker. The office or lab and the worker are responsible for pay, taxes, licensing, credentials, insurance, schedules, and workplace rules. Time and mileage tools are records for the parties; RDL does not pay wages.
8. Drivers and deliveries
Delivery tools help offices, labs, and drivers track pickups and drop-offs. Drivers are responsible for safe and lawful driving and for the items in their care while on a route. RDL is not a carrier.
9. Chairside and paid features
Chairside case tracking for offices is free. Some features may be paid; any paid feature and its price are shown to you inside your account before you choose it. We will not charge you for a feature you did not choose.
10. Insurance help
Insurance help on RDL is general information only. RDL is not an insurance company, agent, or broker, and RDL does not sell, recommend, or endorse any insurance or dental plan. Check your plan and ask your plan or office about your coverage.
11. Accounts and staff permissions
- You must give accurate information and keep your login private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One person per personal login. Do not share passwords.
- Office and lab owners choose what each staff member can see and do, and are responsible for the permissions they give and for removing access when someone leaves.
- Some areas (for example, money and payment settings) are for the account owner only.
- You must be at least 18 to create a work account. A patient under 18 must be added by a parent or guardian.
12. Patient information
Offices and labs that handle patient information must follow the privacy laws that apply to them, including HIPAA where it applies, and must share patient information only for treatment, payment, and operations or with permission. See our Privacy Policy for how RDL handles patient information.
13. Reviews, awards, and community content
You are responsible for what you post, including reviews, messages, community posts, photos, and job posts. Content must be honest and based on your own experience, and must not:
- include patient names, photos, or other patient information without permission;
- be false, misleading, harassing, hateful, or threatening;
- be paid for or traded for a reward, or posted about your own business or a competitor while pretending to be a customer;
- infringe anyone's rights or break the law;
- be spam or advertising outside the places meant for it.
Awards and badges on RDL are based on activity on the Service (for example, turnaround) for the period shown. They are not a guarantee of quality. We may remove content or limit accounts that break these rules. You keep ownership of your content and give RDL a license to host and show it on the Service.
14. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service, including: accessing accounts or data you are not allowed to see; scraping; probing or attacking the Service; uploading malware; or using the Service for anything unlawful.
15. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time through /support. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts others at risk, or is required by law. Records that the law or another party's records require us to keep (for example, case history and payment records) may be kept after closing, as described in the Privacy Policy.
16. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, RDL disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. RDL does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any office, lab, temp, driver, or patient will act as expected.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, RDL will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. RDL is not liable for the work, products, prices, payments, refunds, shifts, deliveries, or conduct of offices, labs, temps, drivers, or patients. RDL's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to RDL in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $100.
18. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold RDL harmless from claims arising from your work, your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to those courts.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Each version has a version number at the top. When we make a change that needs your agreement, we will ask you to review and accept the new version the next time you sign in, and you may need to accept it to keep using your account. The version you accepted and when you accepted it are recorded.
21. Other terms
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a part of these Terms is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the Service.
